For the majority of home sizes we can complete the entire project in one day. Since we've been doing this for 30+ years, servicing the Pittsburgh area, we've perfected our procedures to be quick without sacrificing quality and as non-intrusive as possible - which includes a full clean-up so you'd never know we were there.
Absolutely. We've been working in Western PA for years, so we know how to handle the cold. We use a "one-at-a-time" method to ensure your home is only exposed to the elements for a few minutes per opening, keeping your furnace from working overtime during the install.
We are window specialists not general handymen. While some contractors "dabble" in windows between roofing or deck jobs, our crew only does windows. This focus ensures that every measurement is precise and every seal is airtight—skills that only come from 30+ years of doing one thing exceptionally well.
Yes! If you hold a flame to the glass, you’ll see four reflections. If one of those flames is a different color (usually purple or green), the Low-E coating is present. If they all look identical, you’re looking at standard glass that won't protect your furniture from fading or your home from the summer sun.
Think of the U-Factor like a golf score: the lower the number, the better the window is at keeping heat inside. For our climate, you want a U-Factor of 0.30 or lower. This is the number that actually determines how much you’ll save on your heating bill in January. Our standard glass is 0.28, but we can go even lower if needed.
It depends on the health of your home. A Pocket Install is great if your existing frames are square and rot-free. However, in older Pittsburgh neighborhoods like Shadyside or the Mexican War Streets, we often find hidden water damage. During your free estimate we will do a thorough assessment to ensure our quote is accurate.

Our house gets high winds and the last storm I barely noticed because it was quieter.
